In 2006, Mike founded North Texas Web Design, initially working solo on custom website projects.

Meanwhile, Richard embarked on his technology career during his high school years, working in various roles for a prominent energy conglomerate, where he steadily worked his way up to become a Systems Administrator. After a successful stint in the IT industry, he founded his own company, Web|Aligns, which specialized in early-stage WordPress blog development, dedicating two years to refining his entrepreneurial and web development skills.

Richard’s career took a new turn in 2008 when he became a contractor for North Texas Web Design, working on a project-by-project basis. Gradually, he formed a strong partnership with the previous owner, Mike McLeland, who owned and managed the company for the next 12 years. This fruitful collaboration ultimately led to Richard taking over the ownership of the company and becoming the main developer following McLeland’s retirement in 2022.

Richard continues to run North Texas Web Design successfully, using the same founding principles that he and Mike had established over the years.
