Prior to his retirement from SBC, McLeland was Vice President - Network Operations for SBC (now AT&T). Over his career, McLeland was responsible for delivering outstanding customer service. This passion of delivering and providing excellent customer service is carried forward into his current business ventures.
McLeland retired from SBC in 2005 following a career that spanned 32 years. Since his retirement, McLeland has launched 5 Star Cookbooks, a joint venture E-Commerce retail sales business, as well as 5 Star Source, which includes both North Texas Web Design and 5 Star Web Design, both of which specialize in professional, custom, affordable, creative web design, web maintenance and Search Engine Optimization. In addition McLeland has launched 5 Star Photography, a professional photography business .
McLeland earned his mechanical engineering degree in 1972 from the University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, McLeland has engaged in graduate studies at Southern Methodist University as well as Duke University’s Advanced Management Program for Executives.
McLeland was privileged to give the keynote address at the UTA’s School of Engineering in May, 2005.
In addition to his numerous business ventures, McLeland is actively involved with various ministries at his church, to include teaching Bible study, president of the United Methodist Men, and serving as a certified lay speaker. |
